Canvas
With Canvas, you can create structured documents, spreadsheets, and presentations right in the chat within innoGPT—and continue editing them while interacting with the AI. Instead of long chat replies, you get an editable document that you can export as a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file.
Where can I find Canvas? Via the Tools menu below the input field. Click the Tools icon → select Canvas → submit your prompt.
⚠️ Important: Mention Canvas in the context
Canvas currently only activates if you mention it directly in your context. Selecting it from the Tools menu alone isn’t enough—the AI needs an explicit reference in the context of your message to open your request as a Canvas document.
Go to the plus sign and click Tools

What can you create with Canvas?
Canvas is suitable for three main use cases:
Create documents, concepts, and strategies
This section of the Canvas tool is your powerhouse for creating detailed texts, marketing strategies, business plans, and much more in a flash.

Enter your prompt: Formulate your request precisely in the text input field (e.g., "Create a social media strategy for 2026 for a SaaS company with a focus on LinkedIn and Instagram").
Select the Canvas tool & submit: Select the Canvas tool. You can then submit your request.
Review content: The generated document will now appear in the canvas.
Edit & refine: Use the chat on the left side to further customize your text.
Export & save: Finally, in the top right corner, you can download the document as a Word file.

Create and use tables
With Canvas, you can quickly and efficiently generate structured tables to organize data and get your information across clearly. Tell InnoGPT what you need, and Canvas will deliver the perfect data structure!
Table prompt: Enter a clear instruction for your table (e.g., "Create a table with 10 rows and 3 columns for customer data: Name, Email, Product Preference"). You can also upload an existing Excel table.
Select the Canvas tool: Select the Canvas tool to generate the table.
Review & customize the table: The generated table will now appear in the Canvas. Review and edit the data directly in the table or via chat.
Export: Export the table as an Excel file using the button in the top right corner to reuse it.

3. Create presentations
You can also use Canvas to generate PowerPoint presentations.
Here’s how to do it:
Formulate a prompt — e.g., “Use Canvas to create a 10-slide presentation on [topic].”
Select the Canvas tool — activate Canvas in the tool menu.
Review the slide outline — the presentation appears in the Canvas area.
Download — Download as a .pptx file in the top-right corner.
Tips for better Canvas results
Choose the right model
For the best Canvas results, we recommend powerful models with a good understanding of context:
Claude Sonnet 4.6 — excellent for long, structured documents and books
GPT-5 / Claude 4.7 Opus — strong with complex strategies and concepts
Gemini 3.5 Flash
Structure prompts well
Be specific about scope and structure: “12 chapters, 500 words each” works better than “detailed”
Include the target audience and tone: “for B2B marketing managers, factual and concise”
Use the chat iteratively: First have a rough outline created, then refine it section by section
Use files as input
You can upload Word, Excel, or PDF files as a source—Canvas builds structured outputs based on them, e.g., “Create a summary of this report in Canvas as a 2-page memo.”

What formats can I export?
Documents → Word (.docx)
Spreadsheets → Excel (.xlsx)
Presentations → PowerPoint (.pptx)
Can I edit an existing document in Canvas?
Yes. Upload the file and write, for example, “Import the content into Canvas and add a chapter on risks.”
