File upload
The file upload function allows you to integrate documents, images and other files directly into your conversations, either from your device or via cloud integrations.

Open the upload option: Click the paperclip icon in the text input bar in the chat window.
Upload files from your computer: Select "Photos or Files" to choose and upload files directly from your computer.
Add files from apps: Click "Add from apps" to select files from integrated cloud services.
For example, select "Microsoft OneDrive" for personal or SharePoint files.
Select "Google Drive" for files from your Google Drive storage.
Note: You can add more integrations under “Settings → Profile → Integrations.”
Confirm upload: After selecting the file, it will be uploaded and will be available in your chat. You can now write a message and send it.
File Analysis: Processing and Status
After the upload, two parallel processes run in the background:
Instant response: PDFs are passed directly to the AI model in their native format. This allows you to ask questions about the document immediately.
Background Sync for RAG: At the same time, each document is vectorized and stored in a chat-specific vector database. Each chat has its own database.
The advantage: With every new request, InnoGPT can automatically retrieve relevant information from all previously uploaded documents in this chat and use it for the response—without you having to explicitly reference them.
For large files, full processing may take some time. You can check the current processing status of your uploaded files at any time in the file browser, which you’ll find in the top right corner of the chat (folder icon).

Supported file formats
InnoGPT supports all common file types for upload and analysis. If a file format is not supported, please send us a quick message via our Support form.
