Projects
Imagine if you could create a smart folder for each of your topics - be it a marketing campaign, the development of a new product or the onboarding of new team members - a place where all relevant files and instructions are bundled together and can be accessed by your team and AI at any time. This is exactly what the projects in InnoGPT allow you to do.
What are projects?
Projects are more than just simple folders. They are dynamic workspaces where you collect and organize topic-specific knowledge. Each project has its own knowledge base, which consists of two main components:
Files: Upload all relevant documents—from PDFs and Word files to presentations.
Instructions (Prompts): Save fixed instructions, preferences, and important information that the AI should always take into account for this specific project.
When you start a chat within a project, the AI is immediately aware of it and uses all the stored knowledge to provide you with highly relevant and context-aware answers.
Note: The AI does not learn from chats that take place in a project folder. Only the manually stored knowledge is available in a new chat.
Step-by-Step Guide to the Project

Step 1. The Project Overview
In the left sidebar, you’ll find the “Projects” tab (1). Here, you can see all your created projects in a handy overview (3). If you expand the tab, they also appear directly in the navigation (2) for quick access.
Step 2: Create a new project
To get started, click the "New Project" button (4) in the top right corner. Give your project a meaningful name, choose a suitable emoji, and add a short description. This way, everyone on the team knows right away what it’s about.

Step 3: Populate your project with knowledge
After you’ve created your project, you’ll land directly in the project view. This is your command center.
Under "Files" (2), upload all documents relevant to this topic.
Under "Instructions" (2), you can set up fixed prompts and rules that the AI should use by default for all chats in this project.
Step 4. Create and assign chats
Now it gets exciting! All chats you start within this project are automatically saved here and are visible in the chat list (3) (provided you’ve pinned the project by clicking the star).
Tip: Did you start a chat before creating the project? No problem! Click the three dots on any chat and select "Add to Project" to assign it retroactively.
It’s just as easy to remove a chat from a project by clicking “Remove from Project.”
Step 5. Manage and share projects
Using the three-dot menu (4) in the project view, you can rename your project, delete it, or—most importantly—share it with your colleagues so you can all access the same knowledge base together.
